Moleskine Pros and Cons

I love Moleskine notebooks. I've used them for journaling and art journaling. I've used the small and the large, regular, lined, plain, and heavier paper sketchbooks.

One of the drawbacks is the spine can become strained if there are a lot of photos or collaging.

The pages are too small for 4x6 photos so it is necessary to crop them or have them printed smaller.

On this page, I had the photos printed in "collage" form and then cut the smaller photos. Sometimes it is hard to find a place that will print photos in this fashion, especially when traveling.

Overlapping onto two pages.

I do like the large Moleskine sketchbooks for traveling because they are more compact than the 8x11 sketchbooks. Also, the paper is heavy and takes wet and dry media fairly well with less bleeding. I also like the "book" feel of the Moleskine.
